SICK POLICY

If you have been around someone who was sick or feel you may be sick, please contact me to cancel or reschedule no less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled massage.

COLD, FLU & Other Potentially Contagious Illness Protocols

Sharing is caring, but not when it comes to illnesses.

If you, or someone you have been in contact with, is showing symptoms of a cold, flu, or other contagious illness (COVID-19, strep throat, tuberculosis, norovirus/stomach flu, HFMD, MRSA, ringworm, head lice, whooping cough, etc.), please contact me to cancel or reschedule for when you are well.

Symptoms of the common cold usually peak within 2 to 3 days and can include:

  • Sneezing

  • Stuffy nose

  • Runny nose

  • Sore throat

  • Coughing

  • Mucus dripping down your throat (post-nasal drip)

  • Watery eyes

  • Fever (although most people with colds do not have fever)

People who have the flu (influenza) often feel some or all of these symptoms:

  • Fever or feeling feverish/chills

  • Cough

  • Sore throat

  • Runny or stuffy nose

  • Muscle or body aches

  • Headaches

  • Fatigue (tiredness)

  • Some people may have vomiting and diarrhea, though this is more common in children than adults

Covid-19 Protocols

Please ensure that you, as well as all household members:

  • Understand the symptoms of Covid-19 (listed above) and affirm that you do not currently have, nor have you experienced the symptoms within the last 14 days.

  • Have not been diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 30 days.

  • Have not knowingly been exposed to anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 30 days.

  • Have not travelled outside of the country or to any city outside of our area that is or has been considered a "hot spot" for COVID-19 infections within the last 30 days.

Symptoms of COVID-19 include:

  • Fever

  • Cough

  • Chills    

  • Shortness of breath 

  • Difficulty breathing

  • Repeated shaking with chills

  • New loss of taste or smell    

  • Muscle pain

  • Headache

  • Sore throat

My Promise to Customers

  • My massage table, supplies and equipment are sanitized and disinfected using an EPA registered hospital grade disinfectant.  After cleaning, these items are stored in sealed containers/cases until the time of use. If non-porous items are displayed in the open in the room, they are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized directly prior to the massage session.

  • All massage tools (cupping supplies, hot stones, gua sha tools, TheragunPro, etc.) are sanitized, disinfected using an EPA registered hospital grade disinfectant.

  • All linens are washed using laundry detergent that has an oxygenating agent in it and very hot water, then dried on a hot cycle. This protocol has been advised by the CDC. The linens and towels are stored in closed containers. 

  • All touched surfaces are disinfected between clients. The table is fully disinfected and all new linens are put on the table prior to each massage.

  • I will always wash my hands directly before your massage. Hand sanitizer is available upon entering the practice for clients as well as a restroom within a few paces of the entrance. I always use hand sanitizer after working on a client’s feet.
